Overcoming addictive behaviours can be a long process for many different reasons such as chemical factors influencing mood (just like drugs and alcohol) that a person becomes addicted to the food substance to feel good, there might also be an addictive personality factor as well as other factors interplaying together that will cause someone to maintain addictive behaviours such as:
